Position Summary

The HR Manager will partner across organizational lines and work cooperatively within and outside of one’s own team to best meet business objectives and needs. Reporting to the Director – Americas HR, this position will work within a global team, actively support key decisions and promote a spirit of teamwork, embed new HR initiatives across Teleflex, and play a key role in developing top talent and leadership. 
 
The HR Manager is responsible for providing HR guidance, analyzing metrics, resolving employee relations issues, and working with management to improve work relationships and productivity. The HR Manager will act as a consultant, aligning HR practices with business objectives and goals within the business unit.  

Principal Responsibilities

Business Partner, Commercial support functions 

•    Objectively manages core HR processes, including headcount planning, talent acquisition strategy, talent selection, performance management, compensation administration and review, career development, leadership development, and succession planning.  
•    Serves as an expert on all HR processes for internal customer groups and creates a sense of pride and belonging among organizational members. 
•    Facilitates organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues by applying insight across a wide range of tactical to strategic issues in order to consistently identify and select the best course of action. 
•    Collaborates with the global HR team to align local practices with global HR strategies and initiatives. Implements corporate policy at the business unit. 
•    Partners with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to manage and execute headcount plans. Focus on all aspects of Talent Management and acquisition to build people capability, including succession planning—ensuring that the right people are in the right roles and individuals feel empowered and supported to reach their potential. 
•    Builds performance-based relationships with leaders and team members to deliver a best-in-class employee experience. Collaborating with process owners and stakeholders in onboarding, training, talent development, and core HR business processes to foster trust and respect through open communication. 
•    Continuously enhances business acumen through lifelong learning and a growth mindset - both fundamental to business success. Stay up-to-date with HR trends, employment law updates, and compliance requirements. Incorporates awareness of business principles into decision-making.  
• Monitors HR metrics and generates reports for management to support a process-focused, decisive course of action that will ensure that Teleflex's needs are met with a high standard of excellence, urgency, and predictability.   

•    Supports organizational change management initiatives to drive business transformation and cultural change.  
•    Leads and/or participates in HR team or business initiatives and special projects. 
•    Facilitates and delivers training to employees on Global Talent Development curriculum to develop and retain talent for the larger organization.  
•    Develops and drives company-wide programs and initiatives. Drives engagement for the Americas region through JOIN initiatives, Employee Resource Groups, and the execution of DEI transformative processes to embrace diversity as a competitive advantage and seek to leverage different working styles to accomplish the best possible business results. 
• Enables the building of a culture that enhances Teleflex's core values, engages our people, and focuses on patient outcomes. Adhere to and ensure compliance with Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards. 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.  
•    5+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a Generalist or HR Business Partnership capacity  
•    PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred. 
•    Experience with HRIS systems, data analysis, and reporting preferred. 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    General understanding of labor laws and human resources compliance preferred. 
•    Excellent communication and influencing skills. 
•    Demonstrated understanding of business principles. 
•    Experience with mergers, acquisitions or divestitures is a plus. 
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization in a team-oriented environment. 
•    Ability and comfort to hold oneself and others accountable to the highest standards and seek to encourage others to do so positively and constructively. 
•    Strong process management and improvement skills. Demonstrates the ability to develop the steps needed to reach a goal, sets priorities, and directs work.

•    Demonstrated initiative and ability to meet commitments and create new tools or solutions to achieve business results.

•    Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 
•    Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing business needs and priorities.
