Position Summary

 

The Weck portfolio of ligation solutions from Teleflex includes Hem-o-lok® and Horizon® Ligation Systems that have helped customers ligate with security and confidence for decades. This portfolio globally, represents over $180m in revenue for the Surgical Business Unit. The ligation portfolio is not just about clips, at its core it revolves around service. We take pride in our partnerships and consider service our key cornerstone in our market leadership which includes training of staff, inventory, repairs, education, and the overall customer experience. 

The Sr. Global Product Manager will be instrumental in supporting the global expansion of the Ligation Platform into procedures that currently leverage Automatic. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role creates, executes, and manages full-stream marketing efforts for the ligation portfolio with a key focus on our Automatic Platform with support for our Manual portfolio and our Service Programs across the ligation portfolios. The incumbent will lead marketing efforts and actively partner with R&D and Sales organization to ensure the execution and implementation of the marketing strategies.

Principal Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop yearly strategic plan for Ligation portfolio and its associated specialties
  • Develop and execute tactical plan for Ligation portfolio with full Sales alignment and implementation
  • Provide input for product development and pipeline 
  • Create and maintain operating plan and budget for Ligation portfolio
  • Develop and manage programs to increase penetration and drive sales of existing products – customer segmentation, targeting, sales, and product promotions
  • Create Ligation positioning and pricing strategy and provide sales support such as sales materials, customer presentations, information for Request for Proposals (RFPs) and field communication
  • Global lifecycle management including managing and communication supply, forecasting needs, consolidation
  • Develop and localize regional sales training, education, promotional materials, and programs
  • Attend major conventions and regional meetings as required; develop and implement Ligation portfolio convention strategy
  • Develop, maintain, and leverage key opinion leader (KOL) relationships for brand advocacy, new product development, and voice of customer feedback
  • Lead Marketing efforts for Ligation product development for successful commercialization of product(s) in North America while enabling global launches of the product
  • Develop and support global strategy according to market needs, training, assessment of market penetration by Teleflex and competitors, coordination of revenue expectations
  • Perform North America forecasting
  • Be a team player and take on additional responsibilities as required
  • Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards

 

This position requires direct contact with implantable devices.  


 

Education / Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years marketing experience required
  • 5+ years of clinical experience with surgical medical devices in the OR setting preferred
  • Experience in local brand marketing (line marketing) with responsibility for a brand or portfolio of brands within a country or region preferred

  • Willing to create and fix processes when and where necessary for success
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity
