Position Summary

Anesthesia & Emergency Medicine
As part of the Teleflex Anesthesia & Emergency Medicine (AEM) business unit, the Trauma & Emergency Medicine team promotes advanced vascular access and hemorrhage control techniques using medical devices from our world-class brands including:
•    The Arrow® EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System, which helps address the time-critical challenge of emergency vascular access.
•    QuikClot® and QuikClot Control+® Hemostatic Dressings and Devices, which are used by hospitals, EMS, and the military for hemorrhage control in a broad range of bleeding situations.

The Teleflex Anesthesia & Emergency Medicine (AEM) business unit continues to expand, and we are investing for sustained high growth. The Marketing team is integral to developing and driving the Teleflex AEM growth strategy through innovative new product development and channel marketing.
The Global Upstream Product Manager will support product development efforts and implementation of global product marketing strategies for key product franchises within the Trauma & Emergency Medicine portfolio, including the Arrow® EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System. The position will involve collaborating with product marketing leadership and driving key projects and associated activities, including:
•    Fueling innovation by identifying gaps and unmet clinical needs and recommending new products, markets, and strategies.
•    Building business cases for future product portfolio and new market opportunities.
•    Collaborating and aligning with cross-functional team members to deliver against project milestones and overall revenue and profit objectives
 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Represent the voice of the customer by developing and executing market research initiatives to uncover deep customer insights and generate new ideas to guide long-term portfolio vitality.
•    Become subject matter expert in relevant procedures to identify and prioritize unmet clinical needs, highlight market opportunities, and to partner effectively with key stakeholders and decision makers.
•    Identify and assess market trends, size, and competitive landscape.
•    Explore, identify, and recommend new products, markets, and strategies.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional team(s), including R&D, Clinical & Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Global Downstream Marketing and Regional Commercial counterparts  on new product development and launch efforts.
•    Lead product gating process for assigned projects and guide commercial regions through launch.
•    Communicate with and present effectively to project teams, business unit leadership, marketing leadership, R&D leadership, sales leadership, and other stakeholders.
•    Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by immediate manager.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree is required with areas of preference including marketing, biomedical engineering, business administration or other similar degree area. Advanced degree or certification is preferred, but not required.
•    Prior marketing and/or product management experience with track record of successfully leading projects from inception to completion is required. Prior marketing and/or product management experience in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry is preferred, but not required. 
•    3-5 years of experience typical, with proficiency in overall product portfolio management with general supervision

•    Demonstrated ability to take action, manage risks intelligently, prioritize and implement effective solutions, and deliver against objectives to drive projects to successful completion.
•    Track record of developing and launching new products.
•    Team player and builder, receptive to ideas from others, and globally diverse.
•    Project management skills, effective self-starter, and meets deadlines routinely.
