Position Summary

The Teleflex Anesthesia & Emergency Medicine (AEM) business unit continues to invest for sustained high growth. The marketing team is integral to developing and driving the Teleflex AEM growth strategy through innovative channel marketing and new product development.

As part of the Teleflex Anesthesia & Emergency Medicine (AEM) business unit, the Trauma & Emergency Medicine team promotes advanced vascular access and hemorrhage control techniques using medical devices from our world-class brands, including…
•    The Arrow™ EZ-IO™ Intraosseous Vascular Access System, which helps address the time-critical challenge of emergency vascular access.
•    QuikClot™ and QuikClot Control+™ Hemostatic Dressings and Devices, which are used by hospitals, EMS, and the military for hemorrhage control in a broad range of bleeding situations.

The ideal candidate will provide excellence in strategic marketing, driving high priority new product development projects from concept-to-commercialization for the Trauma & Emergency Medicine product portfolio. This role will involve heavy collaboration with product marketing leadership, R&D, Clinical and Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Sales, and other functions to identify, develop, and launch the next generation of life-saving products from Teleflex.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Represent the voice of the customer by developing and executing market research initiatives to uncover deep customer insights to drive long-term portfolio vitality and deliver on business objectives.
  • Become a subject matter expert in relevant procedures to identify and prioritize unmet customer needs, highlight market opportunities, and partner effectively with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Identify and assess market trends, size, and competitive landscape.
    Explore, identify, and recommend new products, markets, and strategies to drive innovation and added value to support achievement of annual operating plans.
  • Develop compelling business cases and financial impact models, and guide assigned project(s) from concept to commercialization using data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Clinical and Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Sales, and other functions on concept and new product development, and launch efforts.
  • Communicate with and present effectively to project teams, business unit leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to and ensure adherence to the Teleflex Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, with areas of preference including marketing, business administration, biomedical engineering, or other similar degree. Advanced degree or certification is preferred but not required.  
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects from inception to completion is required. Prior marketing and/or product management experience in medical devices is preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience is typical.

  • Proven track record of identifying unmet needs and developing and launching new tools, solutions, or products that address the unmet need and capture value.
    Demonstrated ability to take action, manage risks intelligently, and prioritize and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with relevant experience developing business models, P&L awareness, and the ability to adapt and apply solutions to impact profitability.
  • Skilled communicator with demonstrated experience influencing and motivating people across all levels of an organization without direct authority.
  • Team player and builder, receptive to ideas from others, and globally diverse.
  • Project management skills, effective self-starter, and meets deadlines routinely.
  • Results-focused and customer-oriented.
  • Constant learner; passionate about improving the status quo and enhancing patient outcomes.  
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable in clinical environments (operating room, etc.) and able to pass and maintain annual Vendor Credentials to access healthcare facilities and enter patient care areas.
