Position Summary

The Global Marketing Manager will be responsible for the global strategic brand management and US tactical execution of our Bariatric Sleeve Gastrectomy portfolio of products including the Titan SGS Stapler and Buttress. The manager is responsible for achieving US revenue and profit goals  by leading market development in the US through the early surgeon majority and optimizing the current customer funnel from targeting to adoption.  The manager is also responsible for supporting and enabling select global market development and full commercialization initiatives. They will also have responsibility for 1-2 new products and / or sustaining projects.

Principal Responsibilities

Downstream US Marketing and Market Development Responsibilities
•    Develop and execute annual operating plan with full Sales alignment and implementation.
•    Manage and optimize the customer funnel including initial targeting, VAC approval, professional education, adoption, and retention.  
•    Procedural and Product Training – Develop and deliver procedural and product training for the Bariatrics portfolio for new hires and semi-annual Sales Training meetings.
•    Develop the market development protocol and operationalize into Professional Education, Sales Training, and Marketing deployment.
•    Global and US KOL Strategy – Continue building KOL network in US while supporting network in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM.  KOLs will be characterized and activated upon key products and data milestones.
•    Bariatric Society Relationships including the ASMBS, IFSO, and IBC Oxford – Maintain and strengthen these relationships to facilitate the sharing of outcomes and drive product adoption.
•    Develop and execute impactful promotional presence at major conventions and regional meetings to drive procedural and brand awareness while generating high quality leads for Sales.
•    Digital Patient Marketing – Lead the development and delivery of a patient-centric website that provides compelling information driving patients to seek surgeons performing standardized sleeve gastrectomy via a physician finder.  Provide patient marketing materials that surgeons can utilize in their practices.
•    Develop and execute tactical marketing programs and assets that drive revenue growth through thoughtful product segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies that deliver compelling messages that support the value proposition.
•    Play an active role in pursuing and supporting large IDN and GPO positions by partnering with Corporate Accounts, delivering customer presentations, and responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs).  Upon awards, you will develop and execute a sales launch package.
•    Perform US forecasting and support the forecasted needs of our global markets to ensure adequate supply.
•    Establish long-term pricing strategy and execute with discipline.

Upstream Global Strategic Marketing and Market Development Responsibilities
•    Develop and execute 5-Yr global brand strategies
•    Understand the customer’s needs and environment, procedural and technical market trends, and competition.
•    New Products and Sustaining – Marketing lead on select cross-functional NPD and sustaining project teams and completing the required marketing deliverables of our process.  
•    Evidence Generation – Support the scaling of evidence sites and integrated data collection for future products.  Upon achievement of appropriate sample sizes: extract, analyze, and deploy outcomes to drive market penetration.
•    Define appropriate product claims to support the value proposition and coordinate the activities required to support those claims. 
•    Support global marketing and market development strategy according to market needs, training, assessment of market penetration by Teleflex and competitors, and coordination of revenue expectations.
•    Monitor complaint data and field reports and trigger activity as required.

Education / Experience Requirements

Required
•    Four-year College degree
•    7+ years medical device marketing experience
•    2+ years of clinical experience with surgical medical devices in the OR setting
•    Knowledge of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgical Procedures in General Surgery
•    Demonstrated experience in Market Development

Preferred
•    Experience introducing innovative procedural technology into a competitive market with large incumbents
•    Expertise with internal stapling technology
•    Bariatrics experience a plus
•    Medical Device sales experience
•    Digital Marketing Experience a plus
•    Prior direct reports
•    MBA
