Position Summary

Project Quantum is a global strategic initiative within Teleflex. The key objectives of this project include designing and deploying global product lifecycle management processes and introduce a master data management system for management of product related data for consistency and accuracy. 

The Global data lead will manage the Data workstream including supporting the Global Senior PLM Manager and Master Data Management Lead towards the successful delivery of Project Quantum goals and objectives.


This position can be located in Morrisville, NC or Remote.
 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Define global Data strategy to ensure successful migration of Data for Project Quantum
•    Develops road maps/methodologies required to move from current state to future state, including changes and implications to existing architecture and systems. 
•    Define Data tools for cleansing and migration to be utilized for data migration process
•    Drive Data Migration activities for global roll out including Data Extract, Transformation and Load of data for all sites impacted by Quantum
•    Responsible for data specific cut over activities
•    Responsible for identifying and creating data transformation rules and mapping across all systems
•    Responsible for Data Cleansing process and ensure compliance of data to defined data standards.
•    Data Governance Council member providing Data SME knowledge and guidance
•    Ability to act as a champion for change through collaboration with global business units and business partners.
•    Co-ordination of project activities to ensure business and compliance needs are satisfied. 
•    Support Global Roll plan and execution
•    Support implementation of system integrations eg Labelling and UDI
•    Drives global process standardization.
•    Interfaces directly with business and process partners to understand their needs and objectives first-hand
•    Support the definition of future state end to end global KPIs and metrics to assess the health of the process

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline;
•    8+ years’ experience in a highly regulated environment.
•    Project Management or Six Sigma qualification preferred
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

Essential Skills / Experience
•    The ideal candidate will have prior experience in leading data operations in a fast-paced work environment with strong analytical ability. 
•    Must have led and implemented a global data migration process.
•    Experience dealing with complex data relationships and effectively communicating across a diverse team. 
•    Recent development experience with Tableau or similar visual analysis tool, optimization, analytics and large data sets, project management, developing visually compelling interactive dashboards. 
•    Understanding of Design Control, Change Control, Product Life Cycle Management, Sustaining Changes and manufacturing transfers, including experience of cost savings and product / process improvement.
•    Strong people management skills
•    Expert judgment and problem-solving ability and are capable of understanding the impact of decision making on both Teleflex and their customers.
•    Excellent MS Office skills,
•    Effective collaboration with cross-functional Business Units,
•    Experience managing cross functional teams,
