Financial Analyst

Position Summary

The Commercial Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Anesthesia & Emergency Medicine (AEM) business unit (BU).  This role will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical financial analysis supporting the Anesthesia & Emergency Medicine team.  The primary focus of the role will be to provide management with the necessary information and analysis tools to support the executive decision-making process.  This position will be based in Morrisville, NC.

Principal Responsibilities

• Support the Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly Reporting Process – assist in the preparation and review of the monthly and quarterly close process for revenue and operating expenses.
• Ensure appropriate internal controls are maintained and SBU financial statements are in compliance with corporate accounting policies and standards.
• Participate in the forecasting and budgeting processes, including coordinating with department heads to make updates as needed.
• Research and analyze data in order to provide a clear, cohesive explanation of business drivers .
• Prioritize tasks to achieve deadlines.
• Prepare and submit journal entries.
• Collaboration and cooperation with other Teleflex departments to achieve objectives.
• Liaise with Auditors, Corporate Finance, North America Finance Shared Services and Operations Finance.
• Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
• Adherence to and ensuring compliance with the Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules and procedures.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting required.
• Minimum of two years in a Finance position.
• Experience with SAP, BW, Power BI, HFM, and PBCS preferred.

• Demonstrated aptitude working with large volumes of data and analyzing trends.
• Proven analytical experience.
• Robust understanding of the Income Statement.
• Prominent level of competency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Modeling, etc.).
