Position Summary

The Finance Manager provides financial and analytical support to the Senior Finance Director Americas Operations. The primary responsibility of the role is to provide ongoing analysis of the financial/operating results from the Americas Manufacturing Plants including the consolidation of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecast, month-end data and management reporting. 

Principal Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

•    Work close together with the Plant Controllers for the Americas sites.
•    Provide support with the consolidation of 8 manufacturing sites related to month end, forecasts and AOP processes for Americas Operations.
•    Support of the Americas Operations Capital plan process in conjunction with the manufacturing finance teams.
•    Develop and deliver clear financial commentary in support of the Americas Operations output to senior management and other stakeholders.
•    Consolidate and summarise monthly CIP (Cost Improvement Project) data.
•    Key point of contact for the Americas Finance team – External and Internal auditors as well as Corporate Accounting.
•    Tracking, monitoring and reporting of key KPI’s, scorecard maintenance. 
•    Support ad-hoc projects such as cost per hour trending analysis and any other strategic projects.
•    Support the integration of acquired entities.
•    Support the Global Operations FP&A team with AOP, forecasts and month-end queries as related to the Americas Operations. 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
•    Master’s degree preferred
•    Minimum 7 years' experience combined in a manufacturing accounting environment and financial planning and analysis reporting. 
•    Manufacturing background preferred. Experience working in a multi-plant, global manufacturing environment a plus.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Financial concepts of product costing and financial analysis of manufacturing operations.
•    General accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and standards.
•    Cost Accounting knowledge preferred.
•    SAP experience strongly preferred.
•    Hyperion Financial Management strongly preferred.
•    Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly presentation skills. 
•    Someone curious and with ability to work on their own initiative.
