Position Summary

Work in conjunction with design team to implement improvements to the design, development, test, and documentation of embedded system software in Teleflex medical devices.
Understand and utilize a disciplined development process that meets global regulatory requirements.
 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Develop, test, and document software improvement in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
•    Create and execute unit tests to ensure quality and reliability.
•    Perform static code analysis & reviews to ensure well-designed and well-tested code.
•    Investigate issues & anomalies, perform risk and root cause analysis.
•    Support other functions including but not limited to Quality, Regulatory, and Operations with any software related issues.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred) in Computer Science (preferred), Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
•    Three+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software.
•    Proficiency in C# programming and .NET framework for embedded systems for GUI, control, and/or sensing systems.
•    Experience with building applications on Windows and/or Linux platforms. 
•    Experience with multi-threaded programming and debugging.
•    Familiar with common SW development tools, e.g., Git, Jira, VM, Makefile, compilers etc.
•    Experience working on projects concurrently with multiple developers. 
•    Ability to work in team environments.
•    Ability to plan and prioritize activities with reasonable time estimate.
•    Ability to work independently to meet assigned project deadlines.
•    Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
•    Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Prefer experience working in a team using Agile Methodologies.
•    Prefer experience as developer having written apps running on Windows IoT Enterprise 
•    Prefer experience as developer having worked with WPF frameworks
•    Prefer Experience developing in regulated medical device software development lifecycle and regulatory requirements related to medical devices.
