Interventional Urology – NeoTract is dedicated to developing innovative, minimally invasive and clinically effective devices that address unmet needs in the field of urology. Indicated for the treatment of symptoms of an enlarged prostate up to 100cc in men 45 years or older. As with any medical procedure, individual results may vary. Most common side effects are temporary and include pain or burning with urination, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, urgent need to urinate and/or the inability to control the urge.1 Rare side effects, including bleeding and infection, may lead to a serious outcome and may require intervention. Position Summary
The Director, Clinical Affairs Interventional Urology will manage all Clinical Affairs activities for the Interventional Urology business unit and oversee the delivery of UroLift System education and procedural training to internal and external customers, to maximize clinical outcomes for patients. This position will focus exclusively on targeted strategies to engage in ideation and conceptualization, demonstrate, train, in-service, and promote the safe and effective use of Interventional Urology product portfolio. This individual will lead the Clinical Affairs team for the Americas and serve as a consultative resource for OUS regions. The Director, Clinical Affairs Interventional Urology will participate in the continual improvement of training programs through contributions to training materials for both internal and external customers.

Principal Responsibilities
• Partner with sales personnel and customers to achieve great clinical outcomes through patient selection, product training, and case support.
• Conduct UroLift System training for surgeons and OR staff.
• Partner with Area & Regional Sales Managers to develop and implement training plans for field sales team.
• Manage HCP consultant identification/onboarding/development and ensure consistent messaging for the Interventional Urology product portfolio .
• Train sales personnel, HCP consultants, and distributors to conduct UroLift System training and case support.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team by defining department and team goals, hiring, team development, mentoring and performance management.
• Manage and evaluate sales personnel using objective criteria to determine proficiency in UroLift System training and case support.
• Manage case coverages for new surgeons.
• Identify professional clinical education needs in collaboration with Medical Affairs, Consultants, and Sales and Marketing.
• Participate in planning and implementation of educational activities at Sales Meetings.
• Participate in evaluation, development and refinement of training materials and programs in a creative, dependable, and flexible manner to achieve high-quality work-product.
• Provide Off-label support for Teleflex products in accordance with Teleflex policy & local legal regulations
• Oversee Clinical Affairs team for all HCP interactions in accordance with the HCP Engagement Policy
• Serve as part of the CMA clinical expert team on product applications and troubleshooting when interfacing with SBU Leadership and Teleflex team members
• Remain current with relevant medical literature, clinical initiatives/guidelines, relevant societal and international committees, and industry trends and communicate with other appropriate departments
• Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex Medical’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards
• Responsibilities may occasionally extend outside specified region including international locations.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelors’ Degree required, preferably in biological, clinical, health sciences. Acceptable credentials include RN/BSN, APRN, PA, RT.
• Possess minimum eight years’ experience in the medical device field; and/or clinical practice, urology experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of people management experience including people development
• Experience in professional education development and delivery to HCPs.
• Experience creating clinical education curriculums and knowledgeable regarding education techniques.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Excel at building strong relationships both internally and in a heavily matrixed environment, and externally across diverse partnerships.
• Ability to interpret clinical evidence and articulate/incorporate findings as they relate to product/procedural education.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication including strong negotiation and skills of persuasion and strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work within the constraints of a regulated industry while achieving objectives
• Ability to define problems, collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to identify priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fluid, demanding environment
• Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
• Professional work ethic, and ability to operate independently
• Ability to travel 50% of the time including overnight stays. May be some international travel.
