Position Summary
Teleflex is seeking a Compliance Manager, U.S. and Canada to join our team! This role will report to the Compliance Officer of the Americas. The Compliance Manager is the key contact, and is responsible for compliance oversight of, and guidance for assigned business units commercial and medical activities as well as resellers (reseller due diligence, reviews, and approval, etc.). The position requires a high level of confidentiality.
This position requires knowledge of laws and industry guidance to ensure employees working in North America conduct their activities ethically and in compliance with applicable laws and codes. These include, without limitation, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, False Claims Act, Sunshine Act, FD&C Act, Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, BIOTECanada Commercial Practice Standards.
This role is required to be in-person at a Teleflex office a minimum of 4 days per week. The position can be based out of the Wayne, PA, Maple Grove, MN, or Morrisville, NC Teleflex office location.
Principal Responsibilities
Ensure Compliance, Mitigate Risks
• Serve as a business partner through providing guidance on issues related to business activities for commercial and medical across various business units, ensuring the business initiatives and objectives are met while being optimally compliant.
• Identify risks and develop solutions.
• Demonstrate ability to analyze data and trends and communicate complex information to all levels of the company required.
• Develop and deliver live and online compliance training for employees, distributors, service providers, organizational leadership as required.
• Ensure engagements with HCPs are compliant with policies, procedures, industry guidance and laws.
• Support Global Compliance projects as needed.
• Provide updates to compliance management on a weekly basis.
Investigations
• Supervise and/or conduct investigation of allegations of potential violations of law, company policy, and/or the Code of Conduct and/or ethical standards.
• Collaborate with investigatory and business stakeholders, while maintaining strict confidentiality and integrity.
Auditing/Monitoring
• Execute live monitoring and data auditing.
• Responsible for ongoing communication with the Americas Compliance Department.
• Will require overnight travel in some instances.
Communications
• Responsible for developing communications to help support and reinforce the business commitment to promote an environment of compliance, integrity, and ethics.
• Develop and execute Compliance communications to keep areas of responsibility up to date with Compliance activities.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree is required, with a degree in Healthcare, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field being a plus.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in medical device, pharmaceuticals, or other related healthcare industries required.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
• Ability to interact and influence different levels of management in a cross functional environment.
• Ability to be self-directed, detail-oriented, and motivated
• Demonstrates a high level of accountability and decisiveness, with the ability to prioritize, and execute on multiple and frequently changing priorities.
