Position Summary

This position reports to the Morrisville Product Quality Assurance (PQA) Team supporting the PQA Complaint Intake and Reporting Team as well as applicable manufacturing sites with all matters related to complaint sample returns; works closely with manufacturing sites in the shipment of complaint samples required for investigation; decontaminates samples using a variety of methods following standard departmental procedures.

Principal Responsibilities

•   Responds efficiently and professionally to requests from engineers, investigators, and affiliates requesting the status of samples
•   Works closely with PQA Complaint Intake and Reporting Team concerning incoming complaints to resolve incoming issues and expedite investigations
•   Works with a high degree of accuracy in recording data for received and shipped complaints in the SAP system
•   Decontaminates complaint samples using standard methods defined for department (e.g. bleach solution, autoclave, or decontamination wipes)
•   Identifies, collects, and records discrepancies with returned samples and notifies all internal and external customers (e.g., customs and UPS) involved
•   Completes special projects as assigned by PQA Management
•   Establishes yearly objectives that support Business Unit and Corporate Objectives for Teleflex
•   Develops recommendations to improve work methods, product quality, and the overall efficiency of the team
•   Supports multiple business units including but not limited to: Vascular, Anesthesia, Surgical, Specialty, and OEM
•   Utilizes ERP/business systems to perform necessary job duties
•   Reports quality issues that affect customers to Manager

Education / Experience Requirements

Minimum of High School diploma required

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience working in an FDA-regulated industry (preferably Medical Devices)

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Familiarity with MRP systems (e.g. SAP) a plus
