Position Summary

This Morrisville, NC-based position resides within the Teleflex Vascular, Emergency Medicine, and Critical Care business unit’s Marketing team.   In conjunction with their manager, the Commercial Product Manager will develop, manage, and implement commercial marketing and product portfolio strategies, including supporting new product development, product line extensions, product lifecycle management, commercialization, and rationalization.  The PM's responsibility is to understand the Arterial Catheter markets, interpret and extrapolate the customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends to create a robust marketing plan to achieve growth expectations for designated product lines within the Vascular, Emergency Medicine, and Critical Care Business Unit.

The PM is to clearly communicate strategic alignment and priority, and facilitate cross-departmental development of new vascular products through the commercialization and lifecycle management process.  This role actively partners with Strategic Marketing, North America Commercial Marketing, Finance, Sales, R&D, Clinical and Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the execution and implementation of marketing strategies to exceed growth projections.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Lead all aspects of commercial marketing for the Arterial Catheter business, including creating and driving the vision and commercial plan, branding, pricing, content development, forecasting, and more.
•    Become a Subject-Matter Expert (SME) on the Arterial Catheter portfolio, understanding deeply the clinical use and customer needs of the product
•    Develop and execute annual marketing plans and new product launches following the Launch Excellence Action Plan (LEAP) framework
•    Develop and manage the pricing and GPO strategies for the portfolio
•    Lead all aspects of promotion, including digital tool creation, advertising, sales tool creation, demand generation campaigns, and KOL Program development and management (in compliance with IPPs and in close partnership with Clinical Medical Affairs)
•    Generate leads through focused targeting campaigns and work closely with the sales leadership team to demonstrate return on investment
•    Establish strong KOL partnerships to ensure a robust understanding of customer unmet needs.
•    Provide support for North American sales teams through field rides, educational training, and customer meetings. 
•    Build a strong, collaborative relationship with the Sales Force and training team to achieve mutual business goals  
•    Support the clinical evidence generation strategies. Ensure technologies are published in relevant journals and presented at strategic conferences.
•    In collaboration with the manager, develop and implement marketing plans/strategies to accelerate growth.
•    Communicate effectively with Cross-functional partners and key stakeholders (Sales, Clinical Medical Affairs, Strategic Marketing, R&D, and other stakeholders).
•    Maintain extensive knowledge of competitive offerings and strategies.
•    Collaborate with Demand Planning and Manufacturing to forecast demand appropriately for respective product lines.
•    Develop and maintain annual plan and budget for assigned portfolio initiatives.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate manager.
•    Adhere to and ensure adherence to the Teleflex Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    A bachelor’s degree is required, with areas of preference including marketing, biomedical engineering, biology, business administration, or other similar degree areas.  A minimum of 3-5 years of post-degree work experience in the field is expected. MBA is preferred.
•    Comfort level in medical/hospital environment, with demonstrated aptitude or prior experience with clinical terminology.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Demonstrate practical application of successful marketing / business / portfolio management concepts and methodologies, as well as knowledge of measurement and analysis of commercial effectiveness. 
•    Experience working in a regulated environment, with healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceuticals 
•    Ability to present his/her “case” in both formal presentations and in one-on-one interactions. Strong formal and informal communication skills. 
•    Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically 
•    Ability to provide creative and strategic guidance and focus to team members 
•    Ability to lead and influence laterally  
•    Ability to work collaboratively within and across departments and teams

•    Comfortable in clinical environments (hospitals, patient room settings, operating room, etc.).
