Position Summary

The Commercial Marketing Manager/Senior Commercial Marketing Manager (MM) will have the unique opportunity to manage a strategic portion of the Vascular & Emergency Medicine portfolio while leading a team of high-performing marketers.  The selected candidate will focus on implementing the latest and most effective commercial marketing strategies to increase awareness of clinically differentiated solutions, ultimately impacting increased market share and driving revenue growth in the United States and Canada. S/he will be a leader within the Vascular Access & Emergency Medicine Commercial Marketing Team and will have proven experience executing marketing programs, portfolio strategies and brand management to significantly shift market dynamics.

The Commercial Marketing Manager’s responsibility is to master current and potential markets, develop and execute superbly the category marketing plans, market development programs and demonstrate in-depth understanding of competitive offerings and strategies.

This individual is to clearly communicate the portfolio strategic direction and priorities. Close collaboration with cross-functional business partners is critical to success in this role.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of commercial marketing for the Peripheral Access and Atomization portfolios.
  • Serve as the brand strategy expert for the portfolio.
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans and new product launches.
  • Build a strong, collaborative relationship with the Sales team to achieve mutual business goals.
  • Lead all aspects of promotion, including digital tool creation, advertising, sales tool creation, and demand generation campaigns.
  • Generate leads through focused targeting campaigns and partner closely with sales leadership team to demonstrate return on investment.
  • Develop and coordinate KOL relationships and promotional programs as part of a regional/national program (in compliance with IPPs and in close partnership with Clinical Medical Affairs).

 

 

 

 

  • Conduct and implement market research methods to capture customer needs and identify business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage the pricing and GPO strategies for the portfolio
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, and Distribution to maintain high service levels.
  • Lead and inspire a team to meet challenges and achieve ambitious goals with a clear sense of direction and purpose in an ever-changing environment.
  • Manage the performance and lead the professional development of 2 direct reports.
  • Be a credible, valued resource that establishes and maintains trust to build the culture and drive change across the wider Teleflex organization.
  • Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate manager.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • 5-10 overall years of marketing and/or sales experience.
  • Within the overall 5-10 years, minimum of 2-3 years of Medical Device experience in marketing and/or sales.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, with healthcare, medical device or pharmaceuticals.
  • 1-2 years of direct people management preferred.

  • Demonstrate practical application of successful marketing / business / portfolio management concepts and methodologies, as well as knowledge of measurement and analysis of commercial effectiveness.
  • Planning, organization, oral and written communications skills, project management, creativity, problem solving, teamwork, resource management, budget management, attention to detail, ethics and values.
  • Ability to present robust business cases in both formal presentations and in one-on-one interactions.

  • Ability to provide guidance and focus to direct reports and cross-functional team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams and across departments.
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority.
