Position Summary

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer works to design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with cloud services.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and manage Azure security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
  • Automate cloud operations using tools such as Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and PowerShell.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, providing support to internal teams and clients.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Azure features, services, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with project managers in development of detailed project plans.
  • Produce technical documentation including work instructions, and installation qualifications.
  • Assistance with issues escalated from downstream support teams
     

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.
  • Minimum of 3 years cloud engineering with focus on Microsoft Azure
  • Strong understanding of Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are a plus.
  • Proficient with productivity tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
