Position Summary

The Associate Sales Compensation & Reporting Analyst utilizes transactional data and internal tools to ensure that sales achievement is assigned and calculated properly, according to the relevant sales compensation plan, to generate monthly commissions payments to the respective sales teams. Ad-hoc reporting, process improvement, and consistent communication with internal customers is also a key part of the role.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Maintain sales territory definition alignments as needed in SAP or other systems as required.
  • Create and distribute compensation plan documents to all field sales personnel.
  • Process all sales inquiries from the field sales organizations. Communicate findings to the appropriate approving authorities. Stage needed changes to resolve the sale inquiries for inclusion into the operating system(s) as appropriate.
  • Process the monthly commissions checklist through the appropriate regional sales managers to ensure all stipends due for field sales training, additional territory coverage, and manual adjustments are captured and approved.
  • Compile payroll files, circulate for approval, and forward to Payroll for processing.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly ranking reports.
  • Create monthly commission summaries/forecasts for financial accruals.
  • Facilitate the compilation and production of sales-related reports that support the sales organizations in attaining their revenue growth targets.
  • Analyze data, draw sound conclusions, and recommend effective courses of action.
  • Validate all forms of data that are utilized in sales compensation and reporting.
  • Respond to questions from field sales and sales management as needed.
  • Perform ad hoc territory and sales analysis
  • System testing & documentation
  • Participate in Strategic Business Unit (SBU) meetings & conference calls as requested

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or related field.
•    1-3+ years relevant experience.
•    Medical device industry experience preferable. 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
•    Experience with SAP/BW and Varicent a plus
•    Self-motivated, proactive, and creative 
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills
•    Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills
•    Strong work ethic and ownership of responsibility
•    Proven analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to perform data extraction and manipulation, analyze data, and generate reports.
