Position Summary
The Senior Product Manager role creates, executes, and manages full-stream marketing efforts for the Latin America business. The incumbent will lead marketing efforts for the Teleflex Anesthesia and Emergency Medicine portfolio including the Arrow® EZ-IO® System that helps address the time-critical challenge of emergency vascular access, and QuikClot® hemostatic devices. This person will actively partner with the global business unit and the Latin America sales organization to ensure the execution and implementation of the marketing strategies.
Principal Responsibilities
• Provide day to day management of assigned Anesthesia & Emergency Medicine product lines, programs and sales support in the field.
• Create and manage programs to increase penetration and drive sales of existing products -- sales and product promotions, customer targeting.
• Research the market trends, market size and competitive landscape for assigned product franchises
• Drive portfolio management; develop product pipeline and roadmap for assigned product franchises aligned with business unit strategic initiatives.
• Develop content for core products and new product introductions including market development, training, education and sales / marketing collateral (publications, brochures, electronic media and marketing communication / education content).
• Develop and / or consult on operational initiatives to improve cost, quality, product efficiencies, and profitability.
• Develop, maintain and leverage key opinion leader (KOL) relationships for regional voice of customer (VOC) feedback and new idea generation process.
• Create designated product line positioning and pricing strategy.
• Support the Sales team with sales materials, customer communications and presentations, information for Request for Proposals (RFPs).
• Assist with creation and maintainenace of operating plan and budget for assigned product line(s).
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, and Distribution to maintain high service levels.
• Provide support, as needed, to the Regulatory Affairs team on local product registrations.
• Attend tradeshow meetings and education workshops. Participate in sales training efforts for assigned product line(s) at annual sales meetings and regional breakouts.
• Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
This position requires direct contact with an implantable device.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required with areas of preference including marketing, biomedical engineering, business administration or other similar degree area. Extensive related experience (eg Clinical) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years marketing experience in overall product portfolio management with limited supervision and product launch experience.
• Prior marketing and/or market development experience is required.
• Prior marketing and/or market development experience with medical device and/or pharmaceutical companies is preferred, but not required.
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Comfort level in clinical environment (ICU, critical care, operating room, emergency room, etc).
• Demonstrated aptitude or prior experience with clinical terminology and general clinical practices in anesthesia and vascular access is preferred.
• Strong formal and informal communication skills. Ability to succinctly present information and influence in both one-one-one interactions and formal presentations to senior leadership.
• Proven ability to demonstrate practical application of successful marketing / business / portfolio management concepts and methodologies, as well as knowledge of measurement and analysis of commercial effectiveness.
• Basic understanding of factors that impact product center’s profitable performance and competitive advantage (ie Revenue, Margin, ASP, Market Share Data, Pro-forma metrics, Market Definition)
• Ability to drive focus, prioritization, and effective time/project management.
• Proven ability to work with colleagues to drive consensus on product portfolio decisions.
• Ability to work in a lean environment without large infrastructure
