Position Summary

As Senior Project Manager you will have responsibility for full delivery of projects of high complexity with extensive scope, leading the coordination and completion of multiple projects on time within budget and within scope. You will be required to works on projects of diverse scope and demonstrate problem solving ability where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. You will be required to demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining and implementing solutions. The role will oversee all aspects of assigned projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare project status reports for senior leadership and maintain ongoing engagement with key project stakeholders. You will be required to lead and direct the work of project team members and exercise a wide degree of creativity and latitude to address and resolve project issues.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Manage complex projects that span multiple functions and locations.
•    Specifically, lead and manage a team to transition site from current processes and systems for label design and change management to the developed Global Labelling System.
•    Lead and manage implementation of future state print processes in line with developed GLS system at production sites.
•    Provide leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals
•    Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously, following Project Management best practice
•    Manage all aspects of the projects to ensure the overall project is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
•    Responsible for the clear definition of project scope and deliverables, milestones and timeline, project risks and contingency plans. Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
•    Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
•    Create and manage project activities through Planview - online project management software
•    Responsible for managing risks and issues and implementing effective corrective measures
•    Report on project progress in line with global governance processes 
•    Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
•    Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership ensuring alignment to global governance reporting structure for monitoring and control of projects
•    Understand interdependencies between various projects, operations and business needs
•    Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate stakeholders
•    Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders
•    Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members
•    Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
•    Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team
•    Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
•    Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration across the matrix organization
•    Responsible for the gathering of key lessons learned and sharing these to build on project execution knowledge in the organization
•    Participate in the Teleflex Project Manager Community of Practice to contribute to establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature project management capabilities for the organization
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor (or equivalent) degree in a business or engineering discipline
•    8 years related experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR 6 years related experience with a Master’s degree
•    PM qualification required - Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
•    MS Project knowledge required

•    Having experience with all project admin, PMO documentation, reporting structure and requirements. 
•    Excellent knowledge of project management disciplines and project team dynamics
•    Demonstrated ability to influence others to desired outcomes.
•    Uses professional concepts to resolve issues with medium complexity in effective ways.
•    Strong change management skills and ability to implement change 
•    Ability to accurately scope projects and consider the full impact of decisions and actions taken
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills, developing creative solutions and meeting project objectives
•    Strong facilitation skills across multiple business disciplines, organization levels and locations
•    Proven exceptional written and oral presentation skills, particularly at leadership levels
•    Strong knowledge and skills in MS Office

•    Ability to multi-task independently with minimal supervision in a virtual global team
•    Experience communicating to a variety of audiences
•    Ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve the objectives of the project.
