Position Summary

•    Installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing Production, R&D, PD and Quality equipment while maintaining a safe and efficient GMP working environment.
•    Completing assigned fixtures and equipment component fabrication tasks.
•    Creating and maintaining equipment support documentation.
 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Production, R&D, PD and Quality equipment.
•    Design of fixtures, machines, and equipment components.
•    Lead equipment installations and contract projects.
•    Identify and complete improvement projects that reduce machine down time or reduce the frequency of recurring equipment issues.
•    Independently update Maintenance Control documents as required to reflect current maintenance requirements, practices, and procedures.
•    Train and mentor Manufacturing Technology personnel related to troubleshooting, repair, maintenance tasks, and documentation activities.
•    Independently operate/maintain and repair highly technical equipment as well as a broad range of equipment across production lines.  
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    High school diploma/GED required. 2 year technical degree in a scientific discipline required, prefer Electrical or Electronic degree.
•    Minimum 7 years of equipment troubleshooting required
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Special Boiler License required or the ability to obtain one
•    Advanced knowledge of mechanical / electrical repair of common production equipment. 
•    Ability to read machine drawings and schematics.
•    Ability to troubleshoot down to piece part level.
•    Strong written and oral communication skills.
•    Advanced Computer skills.
•    Responsible for mentoring Technicians and Senior Technicians.
•    May have direct reports.
