Interventional - The Interventional business unit at Teleflex offers innovative medical devices that are used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. We place a strategic emphasis on complex coronary and peripheral interventions, vascular access, bone access, specialty biologic treatments and cardiac assist. Our current Interventional products include a broad range of clinically relevant solutions, such as our GuideLiner® and Turnpike® Catheters, AC3 Optimus™ Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and OnControl® Powered Bone Access System. With a strong R&D footprint and pipeline, our fast-growing Interventional business unit is poised to continue the development of new technologies to serve critically ill patients for years to come. Position Summary

This position will develop and implement global product marketing strategies for the coronary interventions franchise and drive these strategic imperatives on our new product development teams. Our goal is to deliver successful, new product launches in the Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) space, capitalizing on the strengths of our portfolio. This role will involve collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage the coronary interventions portfolio. 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Understand key market trends, size and competitive landscape
•    Become subject matter expert for PCI procedures within the interventional cardiology space
•    Identify and segment key stakeholders 
•    Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and leverage relationships for regional voice of customer (VOC) and new idea generation
•    Lead and implement comprehensive market research and generate compelling market insights based on research, data, and feedback
•    Identify and prioritize unmet customer needs
•    Collaborate with R&D to translate unmet user needs into clear product requirements
•    Generate new and impactful claims to drive growth in competitive markets; collaborate to plan and conduct competitive testing
•    Provide key inputs into annual strategic planning process
•    Gain global alignment to establish clear geographic scope and ensure projects meet regional regulatory and technical requirements
•    Execute marketing deliverables for new product development projects and sustaining projects
•    Lead organic ideation and front end innovation activities
•    Execute effective portfolio lifecycle management and product obsolescence activities where needed
•    Collaborate with commercial marketing to ensure smooth and successful product launches
•    Organize and conduct project updates with business unit and executive leadership teams
•    Perform all activities in compliance with the Teleflex Quality System.
•    Perform duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) 
•    3-5 years of successful medical device experience
•    3-5 year’s prior product management experience including research and market analysis and new product development
•    Proven experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment from concept through commercialization
•    Ability to lead by influence 
•    Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills 
•    Strong verbal and group presentation skills with solid interpersonal skills 
•    Analytical skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills, and organizational skills
•    Self-starter with high energy level
•    Results oriented with ability to drive projects to completion
•    Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft office suite
•    High attention to detail 
•    Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships 
•    Solid business acumen
•    Understanding of medical devices, their use in environments, and with audiences
•    Understanding of overall healthcare environment/landscape
•    Ability to make timely, strategic decisions in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
•    Experience with successful product and brand launches
•    Comfortable in clinical environments 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Marketing, Business, Biology, or Engineering Degree
•    Exposure to Interventional Cardiology and Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), knowledge of Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) space within PCI
•    Experience with Agile Quality System
•    Experience conducting VOC activities, updating claims matrices, and/or working on new product development teams
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

TRAVEL REQUIRED: up to 25%, primarily national; conferences, VOC, hospital visits, internal meetings
