Interventional - The Interventional business unit at Teleflex offers innovative medical devices that are used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. Position Summary

The Director, Program Management will manage a robust team structure and drive tactical execution of the BU’s programs throughout their life cycle (discovery/acquisition - development and commercialization - service and end of life).   

This leadership-level role works to continuously provide cross-functional coordination and communication through the execution of programs. The role will work cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Demand Planning, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Marketing and Sales teams in aligning, implementing, and achieving program execution.  
 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Oversee all program management activities including planning, resource-readiness, reporting, risk assessment and mitigation, and lessons-learned
•    Leads program management governance, conducting regular reviews such that key projects are tracking to defined objectives and KPIs, maintaining stakeholder alignment, and proactively managing risk to quality and schedule performance
•    Identify and champion best practices in Project/Program Management, including the use of dashboards, templates, tools, and processes to drive efficiency, alignment, and effective planning
•    Benchmark project execution against peers and continually develop scorecards and leading indicators of performance to drive continuous improvement.

 

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Coach, mentor and manage cross-functional teams providing regular feedback to foster leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen while setting high standards that drive alignment, collaboration, accountability, and goal achievement
•    Rapidly resolve critical issues that impact project execution.
•    Meet with functional and geographical leaders to influence across the organization.
•    Inspire and provide vision to leadership teams, including direct and indirect reports.
•    Mentor, direct, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
•    Other duties as assigned.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    BS in technical discipline (i.e. engineering, bio-medical)
•    MBA or advanced technical degree preferred
•    Preferred 10+ years of multidisciplinary work experience in the medical device, diagnostic, pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries, of which 5+ years include leading and managing project development teams.
•    2+ years of program management office leadership experience spanning new product development and sustaining activities.
•    PMP certification
•    Proficiency with design control standards
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Preferred experience in developing, leading, and managing high-performing program management teams responsible for overall execution of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
•    Detailed knowledge of lifecycle management processes pertaining to overall clinical and product development.
•    Experience with leading global project teams, and lifecycle planning and management.
•    Experience in commercial or global development.
•    Experience in integrating new acquisitions.
•    Deep expertise in building relationships based on trust both internal and external to an organization; established history of building and maintaining senior-level relationships at customer organizations.
•    Strong change management skills and a proven track record of effectively driving organizational change and innovation.
•    Exceptional strategic orientation and agility.

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $166,200 -  $249.300 however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
 
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
