Position Summary

Responsible for planning and scheduling manufacturing orders to satisfy customer requirements.  Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, supplies and related materials through production and inventory process.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Works with production and development teams to maintain production schedules.  Plans and produces production orders to be released and processed while monitoring capacity availability in key work centers.
•    Develops and publishes lead-time data to customer service based on both material availability and capacity available.
•    Communicate with Customer Service regarding changes in customer orders and projected shipment dates while maintaining service levels consistent with corporate requirements.
•    Specify and arrange for all deliveries into the plant based on corporate requirements (OTD, inventory turns, reduction of lead time, etc.).  
•    Maintain relationships/contacts at all suppliers/vendors.
•    Generates requisitions/POs for required purchased materials to support production schedules.  Expedites goods and / or services as required.
•    Analyzes, evaluates and controls inventory of finished goods and purchased parts.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    High School Diploma/GED equivalency required
•    2 year college degree with emphasis in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing preferred.  Comparable experience will be considered. 
•    3+ years experience in production planning and purchasing preferred
•    Experience working in a medical device company with inventory, production planning, accounting and shipping/receiving experience preferred.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between ($80,000-85,000)  however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
