Position Summary

The Project Support Specialist supports and coordinates engineering activities associated with engineering projects and daily operations. This includes the tracking and execution of administrative, and moderately technical tasks in support of Engineering. This role is also responsible and accountable for managing and responding to customer requests, ensuring a high level of responsiveness, consistency and organization in the process. They also assist with additional administrative and clerical responsibilities as needed to support Engineering.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Supports and coordinates the timely resolution of customer inquiries and sample requests via e-mail and other channels of communication. 
•    Demonstrates a moderate level of analytical ability to determine customer needs, and completes or supports the completion of supporting documentation to fulfill customer requests on technical subject matter. This includes summaries of biocompatibility reports, materials documentation, process documentation, and technical reports.
•    Supports the creation and management of ERP data such as Bills of Material, routers, and material master data.
•    Supports in the coordination of project deliverables such as the creation and approval of Bills of Material packages, label packages, and other project documentation.
•    Completes and tracks engineering sample requests. Creates supporting sample documentation (such as packing lists, commercial invoices, etc.).
•    Participates and supports meeting activities, such as creating and maintaining minutes, action item lists, and/or agendas.
•    Tracks and manages generating, distributing and filing customer notification letters and change notification data.
•    Manages the tracking and assignment of activities to fulfill customer requests.
•    Supports with gathering data and populating engineering project tracking dashboard and validates existing project portfolio tracking data.
•    Establishes tools and systems for effectively managing material, manufacturing and supplier change implementation. 
•    Works closely with the value stream teams to lead and/or support the implementation of project activities in coordination with required customer approvals.
•    Serves as key resource in ensuring smooth execution of product and manufacturing changes, between Planning, Sales, Customer Care, Manufacturing and Engineering.
•    Assists with populating and managing customer change request, material questionnaires, and similar  forms.
•    Assists with generating reports, data, and executive summaries for the Engineering groups and other stakeholders.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Minimum of high school diploma or GED required
•    Associates degree is preferred  
•    2+ years of relevant administrative experience, or supporting/coordinating technical tasks
•    Experience working in a Medical Device environment is highly preferred
•    Experience using ERP software such as SAP is preferred.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $66,560-97760,  however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
