Position Summary

The Clinical Education Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales, and is responsible for providing clinical best practices that support customers in the areas of Interventional Cardiology (Complex Interventional Procedures, Cardiac and Peripheral) and Interventional Radiology/Oncology (Bone Marrow and Bone Lesion Biopsy). The Clinical Education Manager will assist in all phases of customer interaction, to include the sales process, customer training and monitoring, implementation of sales & marketing programs and activities within the regional territory. They are also responsible for assisting in the identification, training, mentoring and appropriate utilization of Key Opinion Leaders and Field Educators.

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

Clinical training of customers on the use of the Teleflex Interventional products and monitoring of educational activities.
Educate and provide case support to new users of Teleflex Interventional’s existing and newly launched products.
Conduct product in-services to educate potential customers on proper usage and techniques for products within approved clinical uses.
Conduct field product evaluations to gain clinical feedback for product acceptance and improvement.
Customize, monitor and track product deployment plans for accounts in conjunction with the Sales Representative and Regional Sales Manager.
Responsible for ongoing maintenance of SalesForce.com customer database for all assigned accounts.
Ensure all training records are complete and attached in SF.com
Ensure accuracy of account data
Identify and Mentor Field Educators
Assist with the recruitment of and coordinate the development and training of the Field Educator team in conjunction with the Education Department.
Monitor overall effectiveness of the Field Educators by evaluating overall presentation performance with customers as well as monitoring increased product utilization
Other assigned duties and responsibilities as required to meeting corporate goals.
Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.

Performance Expectations:

Overall performance will be driven through the effective development and execution of processes and customer interaction by CM to drive increased utilization and adoption of the Arrow OnControl products and Vascular Solutions “complex interventional” products, including but not limited to Turnpike, Trapliner, Spectre,TwinPass Torque.

Specifically, a series of key metrics will be measured on a quarterly basis:

Overall percent to plan within assigned sales zone and/or specific regions.
Overall completion of key strategic initiatives assigned by the Director of Sales.

 

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree preferred.  Acceptable credentials include RN/BSN, RCIS, RT.
  • Possess minimum five years’ experience in the medical field; preferably hospital based cath lab, IR, med/surgical oncology environments.
  • Working knowledge of complex coronary interventions and products, excellent physician presentation skills in a clinical setting, strong interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated ability to conduct business in an ethical manner, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Clinical proficiency in area of clinical training and experience with at least one of the Teleflex Interventional product lines preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

    • Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
    • Exhibits strong time-management and organizational skills.
    • Established track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Clinical proficiency in area of clinical training and experience with Vascular Solutions, OnControl and Arrow Product lines.
    • Establish and maintain all credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc.) to enter and work in hospital and other medical facilities as required by facility requirements.
