Position Summary
The Project Manager leads cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of new or modified medical device products. The role interfaces with Customers, Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while supporting Teleflex’s growth objectives.
Principal Responsibilities
• Lead and manage key product development projects from concept through transfer to manufacturing.
• Define project scope, objectives, schedules, and resource requirements in alignment with customer and business needs.
• Maintain project plans, monitor progress, and ensure achievement of milestones.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal stakeholders regarding status, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Manage project scope changes, assessing impact to cost, quality, and timelines.
• Identify and escalate resource constraints to management where needed.
• Coordinate with Value Streams to ensure smooth manufacturing transfer and readiness.
• Oversee development-phase builds and support costing, capital needs, and commercialization planning.
• Maintain design control documentation and ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
• Prepare proposals and support quotation activities for major project opportunities.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (required).
• Demonstrated experience in Project Management within a regulated manufacturing or medical device environment or similar.
• Strong decision-making capability and experience managing project budgets and timelines.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.
• Understanding of design control, quality systems, and lean principles.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in project planning tools and documentation management
