Position Summary

This role will provide front line HR support to assigned Value Streams and to staff in Teleflex Limerick

Principal Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited) to the following

  • Provide front line HR support to the assigned Value Streams including:
    • Recruitment & Selection
    • Training & Development
    • Succession Planning & KTD
    • Employee Relations
    • Performance Management
  • Ensure the HR systems (HRIS, C&B, Training system etc) are up to date for their areas of responsibility
  • Supports the HR Department in all HR initiatives and projects as required.

Principal Responsibilities Continued

  • Delivers all internal HR and H&S training requirements as needed
  • Liaises with the HR Manager and Management team to design programs for high potentials and future leaders
  • Keep informed and benchmark leading practices within the Training industry, to drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct and co-ordinate surveys as required
  • Assists in delivery and roll-out of appropriate policies and programs for management of business issues such as respect in the workplace, grievance and disciplinary procedures, training and development; and career development and conducts employee / leader training related to these policies and programs.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Quality and EHS policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Third level diploma / degree in a HR / Training related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience of a busy HR department
  • Previous experience of co-ordinating and delivering training needs
  • Good understanding of employment law, natural justice and appreciation of fairness
  • Good understanding of employee engagement, motivation and Leadership
  • Planning and Organisation skills – Ability to manage own time.
  • High commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative
  • Ability to drive projects to completion

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

 

  • Deep understanding of HR Processes, Recruitment, Development, Communications, employee engagement, Industrial relations, employee relations.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, excellent follow-through and the ability to multi-task.
  • Continuous improvement approach towards work processes.
  • Approachable, professional and able to work in a highly confidential environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Ability to lead meetings
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team
  • Understand the key drivers impacting the business
  • Understanding of other department’s impact on the key drivers and how all departments fit together
  • Ability to manage performance proactively to ensure the business plans are achieved.
