Position Summary

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The R&D Engineer is responsible for the project under R&D MDR of Anesthesia and Emergency medicine products. Assignments may include work for other products within the Teleflex portfolio. Experience and background requirements should focus on medical devices printing artwork, labelling artwork, drawings update, document change control process etc. This position generally has responsibility for MDR labelling artwork creation and insuring they are completed in a timely manner.
 

Principal Responsibilities

•    MDR labelling project activities. 
•    Plan and coordinate activities of technical resources assigned to updating Tech Files and Design Dossiers in preparation for new MDR regulations. 
•    Communicate with labeling team on readline technical drawing 
•    Communicate with design house on labeling matter and drawing creation/update.
•    Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory and Marketing on drawing review and release 
•    Familiar with QMS documentation 
•    Coordinating and liaise Operation, Engineering, Quality, supplier and contract manufacturer on FAI activities 
•    Tracking on cost expenses (tooling sample etc), PO, invoice throughout the FAI activities
•    Works with manufacturing multilevel across functional team on process and assigns priorities to ensure project goals are achieved.
•    Coordinates the reporting on project statuses in formal periodic project review meetings, which include progress, and capital spending and expense status.
•    Demonstrates professional responsibilities by cooperating with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and departmental goals and objectives.
•    Perform any other relevant and related responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required by superior.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Possession of bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
•    Minimum 2 years of work experience in the 2D & 3D design software (AutoCAD and Solidworks preferred)

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Must be able to communicate (written and verbal) in English and Malay language.
•    Strong in SolidWorks and AutoCAD drawing skills. (MUST).
•    Good interpersonal skills that include working well with internal and external teams.
•    Strong analytical skill-interpret and make data driven decisions.
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks to meet business needs with minimum supervision.
•    Microsoft Office Suite, (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
