Position Summary
- To provide support in conducting testing, assembly, prototyping, and documentation for all R&D projects.
- Responsible for maintaining the machines and equipment in the R&D lab.
- To coordinate calibration, preventive maintenance, and machine verification for all machines/equipment in the R&D lab.
- To support in producing quality (both functional and aesthetic) prototypes for evaluation.
- To prepare work instructions for all machines/equipment in the R&D lab.
- To support in producing jigs and fixtures used for engineering testing, new product assembly, etc.
- To provide accurate results and proper reports of testing conducted.
- To keep proper and accurate records as outlined by the immediate superior.
- To ensure proper housekeeping and tidiness of the R&D lab.
- Perform any other relevant and related responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required by the superior.
Principal Responsibilities
Education / Experience Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Science, or equivalent.
- Working experience in engineering and laboratory testing, R&D, or a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software will be an advantage.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
- Must be able to communicate (written and verbal) in English and Malay.
- Good knowledge in Engineering and Laboratory Testing, Jig and Fixture, etc.
- Computer literate (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
