Position Summary
1. Responsible of new tooling, modification, upgrade and refurbishment/ repair of moulds/ tooling
2. Support validation process for mould qualification such as FAT, IQ, QQ and PQ. Providing technical support in mould qualification processes
3. Analyse manufacturing/assembly data and provides/suggest improvement
4. Interact with customer (production), suppliers, and internal supporting department to ensure moulded parts are ready for validation process
5. Established the parameters with supplier (s) for an optimal moulding environment and ensure FAIR meet the drawing specifications
6. Analyse quality control and correct flaws where necessary in moulding processes
7. Analyse DFM data, mould-flow, finite element analysis, material, stress/fatigue analysis on plastics components
8. Provide technical expertise in design of hot/cold runner system.
9. Prepare URS defining the material, processes and design requirements.
10. Provide root cause analysis of plastic injection parts detects and follow-up with supplier on the corrective actions.
11. Review all mould design to ensure DFM criteria are meet prior to mould design finalization.
12. Release all drawing to TFX Mould CAD system upon finalize the drawings.
Principal Responsibilities
Education / Experience Requirements
Qualification : Degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience : 1. Five or more years of experience in Tooling design and process knowledge.
2. Extended education and experience in related fields such as CAE or process
simulations is highly preferred.
3. Knowledge in Microsoft Office and presentation skills.
4. Experience in tooling design, fabrication, development and validation.
5. Familiarity with ISO 13485 requirements.
6. Excellent in prioritization, attention to details and structured problem solving
approach.
