Position Summary
Principal Responsibilities
1. Responsible of new tooling, modification, upgrade and refurbishment / repair of molds / tooling.
2. Support validation process for mold qualification such as FAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ. Providing technical support in mold qualification processes.
3. Analyze manufacturing / assembly data and provide / suggest improvements.
4. Interact with customer (production), supplier, and internal supporting department to ensure mold parts are ready for validation process.
5. Establish the parameters with suppliers for an optimal molding environment and ensure FAIR meet the drawings specifications.
6. Analyze quality control and correct flaws where necessary in molding processes.
7. Analyze DFM data, mold-flow, finite element analysis, material, stress / fatigue analysis on plastics components produce prior to initial release of mold.
8. Provide technical expertise in design of hot / cold runner system.
9. Prepare URS defining the material, processes and design requirements.
10. Provide root cause analysis of plastic injection parts defects and follow-up with supplier on the corrective actions.
11. Review all mold design to ensure DFM criteria are met prior to mold design finalization.
12. Release all drawing to Teleflex Mold CAD system upon finalize the drawings.
Education / Experience Requirements
Qualification:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
1. Five or more years of experience in Tooling design and process knowledge.
2. Extended education and experience in related fields such as AE or process simulations id highly preferred.
3. Knowledge in Microsoft Office and presentation skills.
4. Experience in tooling design, fabrication, development and validation.
5. Familiarity with ISO 13485 requirements.
6. Excellent in prioritization, attention to details and structured problem solving approach.
