Position Summary

The HR Manager (Compensation and Benefits) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing effective compensation and benefits programs that align with the company's overall strategic objectives as well as payroll processing. This role will play a critical part in ensuring competitive and equitable compensation practices while fostering a positive and supportive work environment. The Compensation and Benefits Manager will collaborate with Corporate & local various departments, including human resources, finance, and senior management, to align compensation and benefits strategies with the organization's overall goals. This role is also responsible for headcount budget planning as well as payroll operation.

Principal Responsibilities

1.    Compensation Analysis and Strategy:
      •    Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure the company's compensation packages remain competitive. Analyze and evaluate job positions, conducting salary surveys, and recommending salary structures. Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with the organization's goals and budget.
2.    Benefits Administration:
      •    Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other wellness programs. Stay informed about industry trends and regulations related to employee benefits. Collaborate with insurance brokers and benefits providers to negotiate and renew contracts.
3.    Policy Development and Compliance:
      •    Develop and update policies related to compensation and benefits in compliance with local regulations. Ensure the organization's practices adhere to legal requirements and industry standards.
4.    Data Analysis and Reporting:
      •    Utilize HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to generate reports and analyze data related to compensation and benefits. Prepare and present reports to senior management on the effectiveness and competitiveness of the organization's compensation and benefits programs.
5.    Performance Management Integration:
      •    Collaborate with the performance management team to ensure that compensation strategies align with employee performance and organizational goals. Link compensation and benefits initiatives to talent retention and development programs.
6.    Budgeting and Cost Analysis:
      •    Manage the budget for compensation and benefits programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial objectives. Conduct regular cost analyses and recommend adjustments to maintain budgetary compliance.
7.    Payroll operations 
      •    Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
      •    Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
      •    Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer’s social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
      •    Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
8.    Build a strong and vital C&B organization 
      •    Lead, Engage, Develop C&B team members to a strong and vital organization. Continue to provide coaching and guidance as well as driving operation efficiency through process improvement. 
 

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in compensation and benefits management, including designing and implementing programs.
  • Strong understanding of labor legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office tools.
  • Accounting and finance skills.
  • Planning and organizational skills- lead and manage a team.
