Position Summary

Principal Responsibilities

-    Provide high-level guidance and support to employees and other managers
-    Regularly interacts with executives and /or external parties on matter affecting the function
-    Overseas policies and procedures for immediate function
-    Recognized as a functional leader within the organization
-    Act as key member of the senior management team, foster a proactive approach, and recommend and implement solutions to company issues to drive performance, enabling the company to meet and exceed its short-term and long-term objectives
-    Participate in establishing strategic plans and objectives
-    Incorporate all functions related to safety testing, repair, and maintenance of all equipment used in an organization.
-    Maintains quality, safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility.
-    Responsible for ensuring full compliance to all applicable requirements and specification imposed by the company, the customer and/or the industry while seeking creative cost effective solutions
-    Utilize best practice engineering methods to provide expert technical guidance for equipment engineering initiatives.
-    Provides training and technical leadership to appropriate personnel regarding equipment operations, standards and maintenance, and manufacturing processes tools and methods.
-    Identifies requirements for an annual maintenance budget, preparing recommendations for capital and refurbishment expenditures.
-    Ensure timely execution of projects and properly manages CapEx spend accordingly
-    Designs, implements and modifies preventive maintenance programs by reviewing maintenance reports and statistics, by reviewing quality control reports, and inspecting operating machines, equipment and systems for conformance with operational standards. 
-    Undertake effective OSH measures to ensure compliance, within the workplace, with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and other legislative requirements.
-    Develop cost-reduction improvement projects while sustaining quality and productivity.
-    To verify and approve documentation such as User Requirement Specification (URS), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
-    Oversite of a unified and holistic approach toward building an effective and efficient tooling engineering program and team.
-    Plans and assesses the development needs of the Equipment and Tooling engineering team and ensures an effective competency framework is in place
-    To carry out all business decisions of the company in accordance with all legal EHS requirements and company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and company compliance requirements
-    Creates a budget/capex, and monitor spending in order to ensure the project does not exceed budget
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Must hold a Bachelor's Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
•    At least fifteen (15) years experience in area of assignment
•    Proven experience as maintenance manager or other managerial role
•    Experience in planning maintenance operations
•    Solid understanding of technical aspects of electrical systems etc.
•    Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
