Position Summary

Principal Responsibilities

1.    Develop new technology, products, materials, equipment or formulation.
2.    Lead development or technical projects within the Design Control policies and Quality system procedures. 
3.    To lead and coordinate projects with the R&D Sustaining/Value Engineering and responsible product design owners from project concept through execution.
4.    Responsible to plan, coordinate and conduct the execution of design protocols (e.g.: design validation and verification), testing, reports, specifications, device master record (DMR) and design history file (DHF) updates.
5.    Plan and oversee the implementation of new/modified designs with functional project team and internal resources.
6.    Utilize technical data and statistical analysis techniques such as measurement system analysis, process capability studies, DOEs, SPC tools etc.
7.    Create and maintain a project schedule, status updates, project database reporting, and other project documentation. Projects can either be independent efforts or an input to a larger project plan maintained by other project leaders.
8.    Lead in design and technical phase reviews.
9.    To develop and or improve existing manufacturing process to ensure cost effective manufacturing process.
10.    To initiate, lead and drive proactive quality improvement projects.
11.    To execute validations on material changes, process changes and new equipment. 
12.    To oversee new product introduction projects and to ensure project are completed on time. 
13.    To research and purchase new manufacturing technology, work in collaboration with the engineering department to better production equipment functionality.
14.    To ensure the implementation and maintenance, within the department, of an effective management for occupational safety and health consistent with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and other legislative requirements.
15.    Ensure Program conforms to the Quality System Regulation (QSR), CMDCAS, MDD 93/42/EEC, MDR, ISO 13485 and other relevant Standards. 

Education / Experience Requirements

Qualification   :  

  • Bachelor’s degree of Science or Professional Engineering Certification -- Engineering or Technical discipline
  • Must be fluent in both spoken & written English 

Experience     :    

  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar engineering position
  • Skills in Manufacturing, product and process engineering or validations.
  • Added Advantages for Analytical Skill and Project Management.
