Position Summary

Principal Responsibilities

1.    To ensure all production documentation, procedures and specification are current and strictly complied during manufacturing.
2.    To plan, organize and control all production activities in the department to ensure plans are met.
3.    to control and monitor processes and drive process and yield improvement activities.
4.    To asses’ project and resources requirement.
5.    To initiative and drive all profit and cost improvement plan to meet the VS goal.
6.    To prepare yearly department capital expenditure and overhead budget for approval.
7.    To ensure the production is cost effective.
8.    To supervise and motivate a team of workers to achieve the VS goal in volume and quality standards.
9.    To initiate and drive machine set up reduction plan (SMED)
10.    To check and verify all routine preventive maintenance activities.
11.    To prepare and submit monthly report to direct superior on the previous month performance
12.    To ensure all quality systems are strictly followed in terms of QSR and regulatory requirements.
13.    To drive and seek improvement in labor productivity, material usage and value improvement projects.
14.    Determine labor, material and equipment requirement for smooth operation of department.
15.    To drive and promote quality initiatives like TPS, 5S, Poke-Yoke, TPM and other continuous improvement initiatives.
16.    To foster a conducive, healthy and safe working environment.
17.    To promote affective communication and feedback among all employees.
18.    Plan and direct all training activities
19.    To ensure the implementation and maintenance, within the department, of an effective management for occupational safety and health consistent with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and other legislative requirements.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

Qualification        :    
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any related discipline.

Experience        :    
Preferably 5 years working experience in manufacturing environment.

Computer literate
