Position Summary

This role will be responsible for working as part of the maintenance team.  This role will perform facility maintenance in addition to perform repairs and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as extruders, motors, pneumatics, Hydraulics, gears, belts, bearings, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties

Principal Responsibilities

•    Knowledge construction and remodeling trades according to building codes
•    Conducts periodic system and equipment inspections and test, and performs preventive maintenance as scheduled.
•    Perform any facility related tasks that include but are not limited to construction or repair and must be able to work with outside vendors and/or customers.
•    Valid driver's license is required as some driving may be necessary. 
•    Performs routine and emergency mechanical and preventive maintenance.  Troubleshoot repairs and replacements as required on machines to assure satisfactory operation with minimum downtime.    
•    Uses mechanical maintenance tools, equipment and machines. 
•    Reports immediately to Supervisor problems and unusual situations which cannot be resolved quickly.
•    Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.
•    Willingness to work on call rotation as required.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    High School diploma or general education (GED) required
•    Vocational training preferred
•    2+ years related experience and or training required, or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain equipment and fixtures.
•    Repairs or replaces defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
•    Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
•    Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis, 100+lbs on occasion.
•    Ability to work independently with little supervision.
