Position Summary
This position directs activities regarding handling of production materials and warehouse management, supports production activities through material replenishments, material transactions, and maintaining inventory accuracy at designated levels per company procedures.
Principal Responsibilities
• Organize, maintain and control raw material and semi-finished inventory in the warehouse location(s) as per required storage conditions
• Kit and prepare materials for the production floor
• Perform inventory counts
• Immediately report to supervisor anu suspected deviation from acceptable process or quality standards
• Maintain warehouse areas to the required level of cleanliness
• Utilize SAP inventory detail, allocation, availability and location
• Follow SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Use of pallet jack and electrical lit equipment. (IE: freight elevator)
• Train other associates as required
• Work with record keepers to correct inventory discrepancies in SAP, notify Supervisor as needed
• Move inventory materials / supplies from the receiving dock to appropriate storage areas
• Move Devices products from staging area to established inventory area
• Pull and process inventory requisition slips from various recording stations in the plant
• Prepare samples for sales staff per documented request and process materials in SAP as required
• End of year inventory – continuous prep work for the end of year inventory, and supervision of the warehouse areas during the end of year inventory
• Assist with correcting / processing and discrepancies as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Education / Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED
• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work
• Basic math skills
• Must be extremely detailed in handling information / data
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and experience with SAP preferred
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Able to work in a team environment
• Able to work with little supervision
• Must be self-motivated and dependable
• Able to accept and adapt to change
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Able to use pallet jacks and material dolly’s / hand trucks safely
• Able to maneuver and put away drums weighing up to 150 pounds using the proper equipment
• Available to work overtime as required
