Position Summary

Provide support to operators to ensure efficient and effective operations are maintained within established process controls. Assist manufacturing and engineering to identify improvement opportunities and cover for the Group Lead in the event of their absence. 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Provide day-to-day manufacturing support (i.e., machine changeovers, troubleshooting, tooling inspection/verification, etc.)
•    Work closely with Team Members and Production Supervisors to reduce/eliminate waste and quality issues 
•    Identify opportunities for Yield & Operational improvements
•    Observe machine/cell condition for signs of wear, water leaks, oil leaks, etc; repair or communicate to proper personnel
•    Complete work documentation, i.e. PM’s,  Communication logs, setup sheets, etc.
•    Assist and conduct training as required
•    Ensure proper communication is effectively passed on from shift to shift
•    Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
•    Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends on short notice
•    Other duties as assigned such as roving inspections, and machine operation on an as needed basis to support manufacturing
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    High School Diploma or GED required
•    Plastic Molding experience a plus. 
•    3+ years in a manufacturing environment required

•    Self starter with drive and enthusiasm for quality and yield improvements
•    Ability to work as part of an effective team
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals
•    Ability to read drawings and blueprints, follow formulas, and read measurement instruments. Basic math skills
•    Computer skills.  (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
