Position Summary

The Senior Global Product Manager (SGPM) within the OEM Marketing Team will perform the critical role of leading and managing assigned product categories within the OEM business toward achievement of established financial goals. The SGPM in conjunction with his/her manager will define, develop, and implement marketing strategies including products, programs, and services. Her/his responsibility is to understand current and potential markets, develop and execute the downstream marketing plans, including sales training, market development programs and understanding of competitive offerings and strategies. The SGPM will support upstream activities with Portfolio Development Manager where applicable.  She/He will work closely with Marketing Communications, Engineering and Regulatory on content development and approvals to ensure differentiated messaging. Responsible to clearly communicate the strategic direction and priorities. Close collaboration with cross-functional business partners is critical to personal success.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Provide day to day management of assigned product line(s), programs, and sales support. 
•    Create and manage programs to increase penetration and drive sales of existing products -- sales and product promotions, customer targeting.
•    Collaborate with portfolio management: develop product pipeline and roadmap for assigned product categories aligned with business unit strategic initiatives.
•    Align product launches to New Platform, Technology or Content Development and conduct all pre-and launch activities
•    Create and drive the vision and commercialization plan, branding, and content development for assigned aspects of our portfolio
•    Participate in developing and executing market research methods to capture customer needs and business opportunities. Research and analyze the competition and market, keeping abreast of the changes and making the appropriate recommendations and adjustments to the portfolio. 
•    Develop marketing claims and statements that support a differentiated product line and work with Engineering and Regulatory to include in product development and launch plans
•    Support all aspects of promotion, including digital tool creation, advertising, sales tool creation, trade shows demand generation campaigns, and sales training
•    In conjunction with Portfolio Management, develop, leverage, and maintain voice of customer (VOC) feedback and new idea generation process. 
•    Collaborate with Marketing Communications, Engineering, Legal and Regulatory on all necessary content approval processes.
•    Build a strong, collaborative relationship with the Sales Force to achieve business goals
•    Support all tradeshow and event activity as required
•    Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by immediate manager.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred)
•    7+ years of experience in medical device marketing, including specific experience in downstream marketing
•    Experience in regulated industry, specifically medical device or pharmaceutical, preferred 
•    Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals and techniques
•    Strong financial and branding acumen
•    Excellent project management and execution skills. You will also have expertise in communicating with key stakeholders both internally and externally
•    Out-of-box thinker and problem solver
•    Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communications
•    Thrives in a fast-paced environment with high tolerance for change.

•    Demonstrate practical application of successful marketing/business/portfolio management concepts and methodologies, as well as knowledge of measurement and analysis of commercial effectiveness.
•    Ability to present his/her “case” in both formal presentations and in one-on-one interactions.
