Position Summary
We have an opportunity for an experienced Commercial or Marketing professional to develop the internal stapling business in DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
As key member of Teleflex EMEA Surgical team, you will have responsibility for driving adoption and growth of the Internal Stapling portfolio in DACH, reporting directly to the EMEA Sales & Surgical Marketing Director, Internal Stapling. The TITAN SGS stapler offers surgeons an elegant alternative for performing sleeve gastrectomy. The device is designed to help surgeons achieve more consistent and symmetrical sleeve pouch anatomy. One Device, One Firing, One Staple Line, One Textbook Curve.
Principal Responsibilities
As a Teleflex Bariatric Specialist, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of the Titan SGS Stapler throughout DACH. The successful candidate will be able to build a market with a unique technology, where possible leveraging an existing customer base. You will develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Clinical Medical Affairs (CMA), and Sales.
Your key customers will be bariatric surgeons in both the Private and Public sector and associated staff including Nursing staff, multidisciplinary teams and Procurement professionals.
You will be in a challenging and stimulating role, often working within the clinical environment alongside the clinician to advise on the appropriate use of the product during the procedure. You will build strong insight into the bariatric market in DACH.
Other activities will include coordinating market development and educational events; and developing and maintaining relationships with multiple key opinion leaders (KOLs).
Education / Experience Requirements
• This role requires a strong academic undertaking as part of the training. You will need to demonstrate that you have the capability to learn a high level of scientific and clinical content. For this, any and all qualifications that prove the ability to learn complex information, with analytical and critical thinking is required
• Whilst full training is given, this role suits an individual who thrives from autonomy, with an aptitude for technical & clinically challenging products. The successful candidate should be self-starting, eager to learn new skills and happy to work outside of their comfort zone
• They should be a strong team player, analytical, and have a good level of IT literacy. This role requires confidence working with clinicians in the Operating Room.
• If you are a confident individual, who can operate with various levels and functions, demonstrate a true partnership with clients / customers, this role will suit you
• Surgical sales experience (laparoscopy) is preferred, with experience in bariatrics a distinct advantage
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• This role would suit an individual who is currently selling into the surgical environment
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work successfully with a diverse group of people and be a team player
• Ability to multi-task and navigate competing priorities
• Ability to work independently and display initiative
• Continuous improvement and results orientation
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a high level of fluency in English
• Good presentation skills
• Excellent organisational, planning and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through while maintaining focus on the big picture
• Adaptable to change
