Position Summary

Under supervision, performs various duties to supply the department with necessary materials and parts, movement of finished goods; and loading trailers with products; completion of documents in accordance with production schedules. Assist with Warehouse functions, including transport of goods/products/materials.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Drive company van and truck to transport product to and from the sterilizer or other Teleflex locations. Transport other items as necessary.
•    Assist in warehouse/materials activities, including driving mobile equipment, storing or retrieving materials from racking and reorganizing material as necessary.
•    Perform cycle counts at the direction of the Materials Coordinator or members of management.
•    Perform or assist in performing incoming material inspection under the direction of the Quality Team.
•    Perform manufacturing operations, including assisting in packaging operations whenever staffing levels required. 
•    Enhances growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, and training workshops as well as team and production meetings.
•    Maintains established company policies, procedures, objectives, and safety standards.
•    Demonstrates professional responsibilities by cooperating with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and departmental goals and objectives.
•    Maintains compliance with principles of accepted employee conduct as identified in the Teleflex employee handbook, and as specified in departmental policies and procedures.
•    Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Graduation from high school equivalent or GED strongly preferred, or equivalent work experience.
•    Minimum of three to 12-months of work experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Must be able to provide proof of valid driver’s license.
•    Basic English, grammar, spelling, mathematics and record keeping.
•    Ability to read, understand and follow BOP, QAP, GMP, FDA and company established safety, environmental, and infection control policies and procedures, specifications and production schedules.
•    Use hand jack, shrink-wrap machine, taper, utility knife, and weight scale counter.
•    Prepare complete records and reports, forms and verification.
•    Communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing.
 

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

•    Essential and marginal functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, standing, or walking for prolonged periods of time.
•    Persons performing service in this position classification will exert 25-pounds to lift, carry, push, pull and/or transfer equipment and materials; considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
•    Intermittent handling of weights up to 50-pounds while stacking finished products, lifting bundles of cartons and carrying/lifting film and labels; carrying of items up to 50-feet is frequently required.
•    Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information; manual dexterity to operate manufacturing equipment, work with various equipment, and objects are an important aspect of the job.
