Position Summary
We have an opportunity for an Interventional Cardiology Territory Manager to cover all 32 counties of Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, ambitious, and fast-growing organisation. The role involves promoting innovative technologies within Complex Coronary Interventions, supporting clinicians in achieving optimal patient outcomes. Ideal candidates will have a strong sales track record, a proactive mindset, and a passion for working in a challenging, rewarding environment.
Principal Responsibilities
• As a Territory Manager, the role comprises of sales and promotional activity on the territory. This includes the full sales process and any local marketing and customer engagement activity. The successful candidate will be able to grow sales of several industry leading products and use the existing customer base to introduce new and innovative technologies.
• The role also requires to develop key opinion leaders and drive market expansion through education and training, collaborating with Teleflex’s clinical & medical affairs team.
• The key customers will be Interventional Cardiologists and associated Cath Lab based staff including Nursing staff, Physiologists and Procurement professionals.
• This is an exciting, challenging and stimulating role, working within the clinical environment, alongside Clinicians to discuss and offer information on the appropriate use of the products during the procedure.
• Other activities include managing contracts, business propositioning and attending scientific events both in Ireland and occasionally overseas. The successful candidate should be flexible to work during non-sociable hours and weekends on occasion.
Education / Experience Requirements
- This role requires a strong academic undertaking as part of the training. You will need to demonstrate that you have the capability to learn a high level of scientific and clinical content. For this a minimum 2:2 degree is desirable, preferably in a Life Sciences qualification or similar. However, other degree subjects and qualifications will be considered, as long as learning can be demonstrated.
- Previous experience working with customers directly is preferred but understanding business in the current Irish / Northern Irish healthcare market is desirable. You must be able to demonstrate how to strategise/ plan goals and link activity to results.
- Whilst full training on the products is given, this role suits an individual who thrives from autonomy, with an aptitude for technical & clinically challenging products. The most successful candidate should be self-starting, eager to learn new skills and happy to work outside of their comfort zone.
- You should be a strong team player, analytical, and have a good level of IT literacy. This role requires confidence working with Clinicians at a level to position technical products in a variety of clinical scenarios. If you can demonstrate planning, strategy development and results, across all levels of staff, this role will suit you.
- A minimum of two years’ Cardiac Cath lab experience will be required and you must be based in the territory.
- Sales & Business Development
Achieve/exceed regional sales targets and national business objectives.
Support account penetration strategies and territory planning.
Develop and manage CRM data, expense reports, and inventory. - Team & Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with internal teams (Account Managers, Customer Service, Senior Sales Manager and Business Development Manager).
Contribute to building a high-performance culture within the Interventional Cardiology team.
Participate in training sessions, congresses, and customer meetings
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree (required).
· Experience: 2–3 years of medical sales or device experience (Interventional Cardiology).
· Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal, consultative selling, and communication skills.
· Tech Proficiency: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM tools.
· Driver’s License: Valid Driving Licence
