Position Summary
The Clinical Affairs Manager (CAM) partners with the commercial organization to support the safe and effective use of Teleflex products/ portfolio. The CAM will be responsible for education/scientific presentation development and delivery, peer-to-peer exchange, comprehensive needs assessments, and regional training plans. When needed, the incumbent will support the team and may also serve as a Medical Scientific Liaison for accounts that require advanced clinical training and post-installation support to advance or maintain their position within the product adoption cycle. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting customer experience and patient-centric care.
This is a fully remote position, with the successful candidate ideally located in the western region of the US.
Principal Responsibilities

• Develop/update content for training courses, including Peer to Peer events and HCP & field training.
• Manage a positive learning experience that builds champions through screening, vetting, and conducting peer-to-peer consults and programs for HCPs and faculty.
• Provide advanced training and education for HCPs to advance procedural independence.
• Manage HCPs to include all onboarding, contracting, and payment aspects.
• Partner with Sales Training to manage and facilitate hands-on clinical training at New Hire Training.
• Participate in educational, scientific, and promotional activities at identified local, regional, and national trade shows/exhibitions.
• Provide written and verbal communication to CMA management and appropriate SBU representatives regarding clinical field activity.
• Identify and expand the customer base through professional networking, consultation related to best practices and the appropriate clinical use of Teleflex products, and timely professional follow-up.
• Manage all business-associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job-related activities, including strict adherence to the Teleflex Medical T&E policies and procedures, timely filing of required and/or requested reports, and documentation of activities via approved documents and forms.
• Partner with the commercial team to manage and support case coverage.
• Participate in product innovation, design changes, and evaluating future product enhancements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to and ensure compliance with Teleflex Medical’s Code of Conduct and all company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Advanced Practice Provider education preferred; Associate's degree accepted (e.g., PA, FNP, RNFA)
• Five years in the clinical setting, adult education, or sales education in the medical device industry.
• Clinical experience in the Operating Room focused in General / Bariatric Surgery preferred.
• Experience in medical device is desirable.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Expertise in evaluating medical literature related to the clinical specialty area and applying it to Teleflex Medical products and applications.
• Understanding of sales force organizational dynamics, sales tools, sales activities, and related sales problems.
• Proven ability to interact with different specialties within a hospital and deliver complex and technical subject matter to clinicians in the hospital or clinical setting.
• Self-directed, able to work independently and handle multiple projects concurrently to function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong problem-solving/analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, professional communication, and compelling presentation skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations/situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools and computer technology, including mobile platforms.
• Must be able to establish and maintain credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc.) to have the ability to enter and work, as required, in hospitals and other medical facilities, as an essential function of the job. Depending on customer/site requirements, vendor credentials may require the employee to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine as required by facility requirements.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $118k - $135k; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Commissions will also vary depending on individual performance. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
