Position Summary
Operate production machinery and equipment according to established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures. Responsibilities vary by operator level, from basic machine operation to operating multiple production lines and training other operators.
Principal Responsibilities
• Operate and adjust machines, equipment, and production cells according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and completed training, including product packaging and labeling.
• Use measuring equipment according to prescribed procedures to verify that products meet quality specifications. Equipment includes calipers, micrometers, rulers, Instron equipment, snap gages, ring gages, pins, and other gaging tools.
• Record process data and operating parameters as required by MP/GMP.
• Recognize when a process is outside specifications and when to notify a Technician.
• Follow Quality Assurance procedures and requirements.
• Follow safety and manufacturing procedures.
Education / Experience Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic assembly skills.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $20-29/hr, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
