Position Summary
Full time internship during the summer with potential to continue support part-time through holidays/school year. This position is responsible for supporting the engineering department with documentation, project work, equipment upkeep, and other areas as required.
Principal Responsibilities
• Assist in performing dimensional testing.
• Assist in writing and performing validation protocols.
• Document results and other related paperwork per Good Documentation Practice.
• Completes all related activities in compliance with GMP and ISO regulations within safety guidelines.
• Support customer complaint investigation activities.
• Support Nonconformance completion activities.
• Provide other departmental support as requested by immediate supervisor.
• Support data collection process under improvement projects identified.
• Collect, analyze, and present data to the project team and manager.
• Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Quality System, Teleflex’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, safety rules, applicable procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Highschool graduate currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Science related field
• Knowledge and experience of working in the medical device industry or laboratory environment preferred.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, Power Point and Excel
• Experience with SAP and Minitab preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization required.
• Accurate typing and data entry skills required.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Basic statistics knowledge preferred.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $18-$23 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
