Position Summary

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing all outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products, coordinating logistics activities, and maintaining shipping documentation and systems.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Coordinate and schedule daily outbound shipments in accordance with customer requirements and company policies.
•    Prepare and verify shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
•    Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure timely staging and loading of shipments.
•    Communicate with freight carriers to track shipments and resolve any shipping issues or delays.
•    Maintain records of all shipments and report discrepancies or damages to the appropriate parties.
•    Ensure accurate entry of shipment data into ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
•    Monitor inventory levels of shipping materials (e.g., boxes, pallets, labels) and reorder as necessary.
•    Collaborate with customer service and production teams to meet delivery timelines and priorities.
•    Ensure shipments meet domestic and international shipping regulations.
•    Assist with month-end and year-end shipping reports and audits.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    High School Diploma or GED preferred.
•    1+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse role.
•    Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred.
•    Strong organizational and communication skills.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    ERP System experience, preferably SAP
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and shipping software (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
•    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
•    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
•    Familiarity with domestic and international shipping documentation.

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $23.36-32.70 per hour however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
