Position Summary

Teleflex Global Operations is an end-to-end organization spanning all product fulfilment processes from procurement of raw materials through delivery of the finished product to our final customers. The Sr. Operations Manager will lead, develop, and resource the designated Value Stream teams. They will join the site leadership team to ensure that the company delivers on time safe and quality innovative products to customers and develop the value stream teams to consistently perform to the operating plan while delivering results in all key performance indicators including Employees, Customers, Environment and Stakeholders. The individual will actively champion the transformation of the Value Streams as guided by Teleflex’s Site Operating Playbook and principles for Enterprise Excellence. The incumbent will engage directly with all levels and teams across the organization (operations, support functions, and partners) to ensure everyone, every day is engaged in the pursuit of excellence. They will provide hands-on support to transform the business by developing and implementing systems that continuously improve the flow of value and challenge people to think and fix problems every day.
 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Team - Proactively manage performance and team dynamics to ensure that a fair, professional, and high-performance environment, aligned with company values is maintained. •    Coach, mentor, and develop leaders throughout the Value Stream Organization and actively champion the adoption of the lean leadership behaviors to sustain an environment where every individual and team is respected, challenged, and continuously developed. 
•    Quality - Demonstrate leadership initiative and critical thinking to analyze challenges, develop solutions and institutionalize SOP compliance and practices to deliver the highest quality products and results.
•    Provide Leadership Investigation on product complaints to determine cause and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
•    Service - Demonstrates leadership, business acumen and strong execution to ensure effective management of the AOP while delivering cost effective performance and continuous improvement.
•    Value - Demonstrates initiative and critical thinking to analyze cost issues, develop solutions and lead the team to deliver improving results.
•    Lead the implementation and execution of the integrated lean management system that aligns shop floor management and people development activities to achieve the company objectives and support the succession pipeline. 
•    Lead site strategic projects as defined through the Site Transformation roadmap
•    Develop continuous Improvement culture that drives improved quality, lower costs, and overall efficiency consistent with Employee, Customer, Environmental and Stakeholder goals. Inspire and motivate people and teams to continuously challenge and improve the current state.
•    

•    Direct those activities that provide assurance that safety, health, and environment rules and regulations are met or exceeded.
•    Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations Issued by FDA, OSHA, EPA, and federal, state, and local regulations.
•    Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping / GMP/ FDA standards.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering or Science.
•    Minimum of 10 years overall business experience and 5+ years leadership and operations management experience. 
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Proven record in leading significant transformational improvements and delivering breakthrough results while leading operations teams. 
•    Extensive understanding and application of Lean principles and methods. 
•    Proficiency with computer business applications Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and advanced applications (Visio, MS Project, CAD, Minitab, etc.)
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills.
