Position Summary
To manufacture/test medical device subassemblies in an Electric Static Discharge (ESD) environment. To utilize a wide range of equipment, hand tools, fixtures, and gauges to manufacture, assemble and test medical device products and subassemblies. To maintain all logs, forms, and resulting paperwork. To carry out all facets of medical device assemblies including organization of workflow and training of personnel at all levels.
Hours: 5am to 1pm
Principal Responsibilities
• Manufacture and inspect products following written processes
• Work at a pace that meets established time standards while making quality products
• Identify quality issues or workmanship deficiencies related to equipment, subassemblies, inspection processes, materials and manufacturing environment
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements by maintaining individual training records, completing data entry in production records in a timely and accurate manner, and adhering to documented manufacturing practices and procedures as defined in Quality Systems (QS) Procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
• Comply with all policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
Education / Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent strongly perferred
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
• 1+ years as a Mechanical Production Operator 1 required
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Ability to read and understand policies, procedures and processes written and spoken in English
• Good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, effective communication skills and ability to complete Assembler QS training required
• Fully trained on at least two of the five mechanical assembly locations and be at the minimum labor time and quality standards
• Ability to train other assemblers on two of the mechanical operations

Working Conditions / Physical Demands
The above-described work requirements / description are performed in a seated position at a production table at a height of approximately 36 inches from ground level. Materials that are handled, inspected, and assembled are all performed while materials are placed on a table work surface eliminating continuous lifting of even these items. The assembly/production process is self-paced with all reasonable deliverables and expectations clearly communicated.
The above-described work activities require lifting / carrying up to 50 pounds maximum. All work responsibilities are self-paced with break periods. Workers will perform tasks in an adjustable high back ergonomically designed seating system and have the ability to change position frequently throughout the workday.
