Position Summary

The incumbent is responsible for end-to-end supply planning, replenishment, and inventory management for Southeast Asia. This role ensures product availability, inventory optimization, and customer service performance while balancing operational efficiency, working capital, and business growth objectives.

Working closely with Global Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Commercial, Customer Service, Logistics, Quality & Regulatory, and Finance teams, the incumbent proactively manages supply risks, inventory health, and replenishment activities to support business continuity and service excellence across the region. The role plays a key part in regional Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes by providing supply visibility, inventory insights, and operational recommendations to support decision-making.

Principal Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

Supply Planning & Replenishment

  • Develop and execute supply and replenishment plans to support demand requirements across Southeast Asia.
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Planning and manufacturing sites to ensure continuity of supply and achievement of customer service targets.
  • Monitor supply constraints, inventory positions, and future availability to proactively identify and mitigate supply risks.
  • Develop and coordinate supply recovery plans to minimize business and customer impact during periods of constrained supply.
  • Support product launches, product transitions, and end-of-life activities to ensure effective supply continuity.

Inventory Management & Optimization

  • Own inventory planning activities for assigned product portfolios, ensuring optimal inventory levels to support service, revenue, and working capital objectives.
  • Lead inventory health reviews and drive actions to improve inventory turns while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Review and optimize replenishment parameters, inventory policies, and planning assumptions to improve inventory efficiency and supply reliability.
  • Proactively identify inventory risks including shortages, excess inventory, slow-moving stock, and expiry exposure and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to balance inventory investment with customer service requirements. 

Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE)

  • Participate actively in regional S&OE processes to assess short- and mid-term supply-demand gaps, inventory risks, and service impacts.
  • Provide regular supply outlooks, inventory assessments, risk evaluations, and mitigation plans to support operational decision-making.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on supply priorities, allocation decisions, and recovery strategies.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for supply-related issues impacting business performance and customer service.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a key liaison between Global Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Logistics & Distribution, Commercial, Quality & Regulatory, and Finance teams.
  • Communicate supply constraints, inventory risks, and recovery plans in a timely and effective manner.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across regional and global stakeholders to ensure alignment on business priorities.
  • Support ad hoc business requests and supply chain initiatives as required.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and drive performance against key supply chain metrics, including:
    • Service Level / OTIF
    • Backorders
    • Inventory Turns
    • Excess & Obsolete Inventory
    • Safety Stock Attainment
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Support planning process enhancements, automation initiatives, and system improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in regional and global supply chain projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in supply planning, inventory planning, replenishment planning, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience supporting multi-country operations within Southeast Asia or APAC.
  • Strong understanding of supply planning, inventory management, MRP, and replenishment processes.
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP (MM, APO, or equivalent planning systems).
  • Experience using Advanced Planning Systems such as o9 Solutions, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools is an advantage.
