Position Summary

In collaboration with the OEM Senior staff,  process development and manufacturing leaders, lead creative approaches to business improvement initiatives, Investigate and utilize the latest technologies and program management tools.  Responsible for delivering transfer activities and long-range facility management planning efforts on time and on budget and for setting strategies, planning, coordinating and executing sending, and receiving site activities across multiple local, and international facilities for a smooth transition to the receiving plants.  Work closely with other Business Units and Regions as appropriate.  Be an active participant in developing an innovative culture to support margin expansion and enhanced customer relations.    

Principal Responsibilities

•    Direct the technical activities of sending and receiving sites as appropriate.
•    Define and participate in the strategy creation for manufacturing site transfers and consolidations
•    Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing goals, milestones and deliverables for manufacturing transfers
•    Direct and define resources needs for strategic projects
•    Direct the identification and/or identify and solve sending and receivingsite issues effectively
•    Manange functional budget set for the strategic projects
•    Direct the project/transfer team in the sending and receiving sites and manage conflicts within the different groups
•    Consistently exhibit leadership competencies (as presented in our TFX Core Values) to define and resole transfer risks
•    Assure that the necessary project documentation is generated according to the different corporate procedures
•    Direct the preparation of specifications for quality, quantity, delivery and service requires for purchase of plant equiptment supplies and materials to meet production schedules and qualiy standards in receiving sites
•    Ensure prompt and economical receipt of needed materials and supplies, and delivery of finished                      products to customers in relation to the receiving sites
•    Direct the installation and maintenance of all processing equipment used in receiving sites
•    Direct the decommissioning  of facilltles, machinery, and equipment at sending sites                                                  
•    Direct effective internal and external (customer) communications within the the OEM Leadership team and within the leadership teams at the OEM sites
•    Develop processes  as needed for new business opportunities and growth initiatives.
•    Manage and supervise resources to achieve business objectives
•    Coordinate resource assignments to projects and programs to execute product development /product strategies
•    Facilitate career development plans for department personnel (when applicable), and support growth through mentoring, c.oaching and teaching
•    Effectively recruit strong individuals to build the capacity to successfully support the OEM strategies
•    Provide honest and clear communication that enables  action and decisions.  Discuss,  understand and resolve technical issues with experts,  while at the same  time capable  of explaining complex issues to management and non-technical personnel
•    Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, good  housekeeping practices, and
•    GMP's, ISO, OSHA, and other governmental regulations
•    Maintain high standard manufacturing practices upon transfers
•    Coordinate and collaborate with other departments of the organization in establishing and carrying out responsibilities
•    Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of this role
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex's Code of Ethics, all company policies,  rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Minimum education bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred. Suitable equivalent relevant qualifications and experience will be considered.
•    Minimum 10 years' experience in the medical device industry in a manufacturing I engineering environment with 5 years in management
•    International experience working cross borders and cross function

•    Functional expert in Project Management Skills, with proven track record
•    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to participate with others in projects and innovation.
•    Must possess superb time management skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple  competing priorities
•    Extensive capability in Microsoft Office, digital publication, and  presentation creation
•    Displays ownership of results and a drive to achieve with  a passion  for excellence
•    High attention to detail and accuracy- essential
•    Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure
•    Strong problem solving skills for developing creative solutions and meeting objectives are required.
•    Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, accurately, and directly, both verbally and in writing, to a widely varied audience.
•    Strong business acumen
•    Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills and the ability to think independently
•    Must be fluent in English  (Native or bilingual  proficiency)
