Senior Controller - Project & Portfolio Controlling (80-100%)

Position Summary

To strengthen our Controlling team in Bülach, we are looking for a Senior Controller – Project & Portfolio Controlling. In this role, you will support R&D and Medical Affairs as a key controlling partner, with potential future scope extension to Marketing. You will also contribute to our ongoing integration into the Teleflex finance organization and systems landscape, including the upcoming transition from our current SAP ECC environment to the Teleflex ECC system.

Principal Responsibilities

• Act as controlling partner for R&D and Medical Affairs, with potential future scope extension to Marketing, providing financial transparency, analysis, and decision support
• Take ownership of project and portfolio controlling, covering costs, resources, project hours, utilization, and performance across cost centers, WBS/projects, and studies
• Develop and enhance KPIs, reporting, and steering models for project costs, capacity/utilization, and project prioritization
• Support budget, forecast, and outlook processes, including variance analyses, management reporting, and follow-up of improvement measures
• Drive the standardization and optimization of controlling processes, tools, and governance in collaboration with local and group stakeholders
• Act as SAP Key User for SAP ECC, with a strong focus on SAP PS, and support the transition to the Teleflex ECC system
• Support business cases, closing activities, recurring reports, and ad-hoc analyses in a project-driven business environment

Education / Experience Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Controlling, or equivalent qualification
• 4–6 years of relevant professional experience in controlling, ideally in an industrial, manufacturing, or project-driven environment
• Strong hands-on experience in project controlling; exposure to portfolio controlling is a plus
• Very good Excel skills and strong practical expertise in SAP CO and SAP PS (projects)
• Experience with SAP BW, Qlik Sense, or similar BI/reporting tools is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills, a structured working style, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
• Fluent English and good working knowledge of German, both written and spoken
